Physics teacher

Due to an upcoming gap in their department, our client college in Rochdale are looking to appoint a Physics teacher to deliver AS and A2 Physics on a full time basis from January 2019.

• Payment in line with SFC Teachers Pay Spine, Points 1 - 9 (£22,937 - £38,364)

• KS5 teaching experience preferred, knowledge of curriculum essential
• Full time post teaching Physics from January 2019

The incoming Physics teacher will join a highly successful, established college who each year consistently exceed the national average across a number of benchmarks, including student progress from Key Stage 4 to A Level which in last years results was well above average. In particular, STEM subjects are consistently doing with well 99% of students achieving pass grades as both AS and A2, and a positive differential of +1.16 for those re-sitting Mathematics GCSEs in comparison to students at similar levels at other colleges across the country, which shows the dedication by all in the faculty to promote positive learning.

Whilst working at the college, you will be responsible for teaching Physics at 16 - 19 and will cover a range of topics including Mechanics and Materials, amongst other topics such as thermal physics and nuclear physics. You will benefit from teaching students with a keen interest in Physics and Mathematics, as the college recommend students to study both alongside one another. The successful incoming teacher of Physics will benefit from a new building and excellent resources throughout the department.
