Job Title: Physics Teacher

Location:

North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

September 2025 - February 2026 (maternity)

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative physics lessons to students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching physics at the secondary school level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching physics at the UK secondary school level (Must have QTS)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of physics concepts and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in delivering online or blended learning

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Additional duties may include attending staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
