THE SCHOOL:

Set in spacious grounds, with wonderful modern facilities, this outstanding school offers a supportive environment and excellent CPD opportunities. It is easily accessible via bus, train and car. It has excellent links with local sports and drama clubs and a long standing tradition of excellence in both areas. The SLT are supportive and knowledgeable and the team is stable. It has been graded outstanding in its last two Ofsted reports, with particular praise being given to the quality of behaviour in the school.

THE ROLE:

Based in the Art and design department, you will be required to teach PE KS3 - KS5. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring good progress is made by all and providing interesting and stimulating lessons. You will be expected to work 5 days per week, contact time approx. 18 hours per week - the time table is still being finalised, and therefore can be manipulated to suit your subject specialisms. The department itself is based in a newly built block, with state of the art modern facilities and overseen by a passionate and engaged HOD who's been at the school for many years. Sport is highly important and the school is noted in the local area for producing professional sportsmen & women and coaches.

It's a maternity cover - starting October half term.

REQUIERMENTS:

Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed

Previous UK teaching experience - PE to KS5
