If you're currently completing your Secondary PGCE, this is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and smoothly transition into paid teaching work once you qualify.

We're working with welcoming Secondary Schools across Durham and surrounding areas and are offering flexible opportunities tailored specifically to PGCE students.

While you complete your PGCE:

• Teaching Assistant work alongside your studies
• £90 to £100 per day
• Flexible days to fit around university placements and assignments
• Gain valuable classroom experience and build relationships with local schools

From September (once you've qualified):

• Move straight onto our Guaranteed Work Scheme
• £130 to £150 per day
• Consistent supply teaching work across KS3 and KS4
• Ongoing support as you start your teaching career

We're looking for:

• PGCE students due to qualify this year
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to gain hands on school experience
• Positive approach to supporting pupils and staff
• Availability for flexible work during term time
• Driving licence is preferred but not essential

This is an ideal pathway if you want paid experience now, a secure start in September, and flexibility while you finish your studies.

Pay: £90 to £100 per day (PGCE placement), £130 to £150 per day (qualified from September)
