Position: Teacher – Performing Arts

Salary Range: MPS/UPS

Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Easter start

Location: Waterlooville

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in the Waterlooville area to recruit a teacher of Performing Arts for their Academy. The school is graded 'good' in its most recent Ofsted report with comments regarding its pupils enjoyment of extra curricular opportunities in relation to the arts, parent satisfaction with communication and progress of the school and staffs overall well being.

We are looking for a Teacher of Performing Arts who has the highest aspirations, passion and expertise to be able to provide the inspiring teaching that will continue the schools journey to bring positive change throughout the academy and in the Performing Arts department. You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate to ensure that students are given the best opportunity to succeed, not only in the classroom but in life.

The curriculum has undergone a transformation and current pupils in their final year have enjoyed their time within the subject and the school has recently had great progressive results from its recent mock examinations. Any applicants should be willing to contribute to the ideas within the department, looking to continually progress and inspire its pupils in the arts.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience teaching Performing Arts/Drama to the UK Curriculum
  • QTS or overseas equivalent
  • A passion for your subject and the role it plays within secondary
  • The drive to ensure all pupils can access lessons
  • To be a positive role model for all pupils
