PE Teacher

Are you looking for a full-time Physical Education teacher position beginning January 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary school in the Bury area that are currently looking for a full-time PE teacher to join their team covering a maternity leave.

• Full-time PE teacher, required from January 2019 until the end of the academic year.
• Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE
• Must hold subject specific qualifications within Physical Education.
• Both experienced and newly qualified PE teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
• Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490  per annum)
• Secondary school looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment

Our client school has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture with strong support to provide staff with the most efficient teaching methods. The incoming PE teacher can expect to work with some pupils in need of extra support to increase their attainment.

The successful PE teacher will be expected to;

• Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for PE.
• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated PE lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.
• Guide pupils learning difficulties and implement strategies to help manage this.
• Assess and evaluate class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.
• Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client academy is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M60 and A576 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
