Teaching personnel are currently working closely with a supportive secondary school who are looking for an an enthusiastic PE teacher to start ASAP.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team of staff on a full-time basis. This is a temporary position with the potential to be extended. 

Teaching Personnel have an outstanding reputation for training and developing colleagues. Therefore, applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.

What are we looking for?

  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching
  • Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential
  • A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students
  • A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 The ideal candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience of delivering PE to KS4/KS5
  • Suitable school-based references
  • Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
  • Be educated to degree level
  • Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
