PE Teacher

A school in Caldicot are looking to recruit a PE Teacher to join their thriving sports department. The position is set to start on ASAP. You will be teaching pupils from the ages of 11-18. The hours of the job are 8.30am -3pm and the pay rates are from £157.66 - £210 per day depending on experience.

As a PE teacher you will be helping students to further develop their skills and talents by taking part in sport and PE. The successful candidate should be very enthusiastic about PE and ready to make a positive impact on our pupils’ lives.

Roles

-          Bring a positive attitude towards fitness and show how having a healthy lifestyle can be enjoyable.

-          PE teachers should be able to work as part of a wider team with other staff and follow an up-to-date curriculum.

-          Be a positive role model and teaching the importance of traits such as leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

-          Patience and adaptability are very important, you should be able to make PE fun and bring the best out of the pupils who will not always want to be involved.

-          Find new ways to get pupils attention and make PE fun and enjoyable.

 

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • EWC registered. (Or willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) status.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
