We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic team and contribute to the holistic development of our students.

Job Description: As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, healthy living, and the overall well-being of our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our student body, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to coach sports teams and organize extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular sports clubs and events.
  • Coach and mentor students in various sports, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for physical fitness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive PE curriculum.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student achievements and attendance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE lessons and activities.
  • Stay current with developments in physical education and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the national PE curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience in coaching and organizing sports activities is a plus.
  • First Aid certification is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
