Job description

PE Cover Supervisor – South Manchester Secondary Schools

We are looking for enthusiastic PE Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across South Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for sports graduates, teaching assistants with a sports background, or experienced sports coaches to gain classroom experience and inspire students through physical education.

Job Role

  • Supervise PE lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support extra-curricular sports clubs and school events
  • Step into general cover roles when required

Location

  • Secondary schools across South Manchester
  • Great transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas

Qualifications

  • Degree in Sports Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Previous experience coaching or working with children (desirable)
