Job description

Cover Supervisors Needed

We are currently recruiting confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Salford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong communication and behaviour‑management skills looking to gain classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support pupils with tasks and encourage engagement
  • Report back to teaching staff at the end of each lesson
  • Work across a variety of subjects depending on the needs of the school

What We are Looking For

  • Confident communicators with strong presence in the classroom
  • Ability to manage behaviour calmly and professionally
  • A genuine interest in working in education
  • Prior school experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Graduates interested in future teacher training are strongly encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
