Part time Maths Teacher

Date posted : 13/09/18
£22917 - £38633 per annum

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

A part time Maths teacher is required to teach in a good secondary school in the Tameside area. This secondary school have requested that the part time Maths teacher be available to start just before the October half term. There are currently 2 teachers of Maths at the school fulfilling a full time role through a job share and unfortunately one of the teachers is due to relocate following the October half term.

As a result of the above, the Head of Maths has advised that there is the opportunity for a part time position but also the possibility of a full time Maths position for the right candidate.

If you are a Maths teacher due to be available prior to the October half term, looking for a long term teaching position at a highly supportive, good secondary school on the East of Greater Manchester, then this is the Maths position for you.

Highlights of this Maths teaching position:

  • Pay ranging between £22,917 and £38,633 depending upon pay scale and experience
  • Part time Maths teaching opportunity in the main with flexibility of a 2 - 4 day per week option
  • Initially on a supply basis, the successful Mathematician may have the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract if applicable
  • Work in a 'Good' secondary school located in the Tameside area

As this school is a good school, they are looking for a teacher that has a strong classroom presence and is a positive Mathematics teacher. They value honesty and respect with a student centric approach and look for the same values in all members of staff. The successful teacher of Maths will benefit from regular CPD courses and a highly supportive Head of Maths and team of professionals.

This maths department is flourishing, with great comments as part of the recent Ofsted inspection and regretfully is looking to recruit due to a staff relocation.

  • Located on the East side of Manchester: Tameside area
  • Easily accessible via public transport given the local Metrolink tram
  • Local train station is a short walk away from the school
  • Large on site car park and fantastic facilities with fully equipped classrooms with the latest technology

If you are a Maths teacher looking for a part time (or full time) position then apply now for immediate consideration. The position is required to be filled from approximately 15th October but the Head of Maths is looking to organise meetings and possible lesson observations as soon as possible. For any further information, please contact Shiv at Teaching Personnel.
