Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Do you want to further your career in a school that is heading in right direction? Before the HT joined in 2014, the school was INADEQUATE but since his fine leadership and change throughout, this school is now rated GOOD and the school is looking to push it to OUTSTANDING in its next OFSTED.

The Role

We are looking for a part-time Geography Teacher to teach up to Key Stage 4 This job will start in November and is likely to be for a couple of terms at least.

The School

This school, in the Roman Spa City of Bath is set in lovely grounds and has a beautiful, historic building. It has a rich history and very good reputation. The academic achievement is high and the demographic is mixed.

The school has appointed a new Headteacher for the new academic year who has a reputation for improving well-being, attendance and ultimately exam results for the schools he has worked for. Therefore, this is the opportune time to be joining the team and making an impression.

"SLT communicate the highest of expectations. They have given well targeted training for staff, which has improved the quality of teaching and raised students' achievement." OFSTED

The Candidate

You must have QTS and have taught Geography up to Key Stage 4 in the UK. You will need sound curriculum knowledge of course but more importantly, you must be confident with managing behaviour. There isn't a behaviour problem at this school but with pockets of disruptive behaviour, it can lead to students falling behind.

What's in it for you?

  • Working in a beautiful school with a rich history
  • Competitive pay!
  • Career progression as the new academic year has a new Headteacher
  • Flexible options of moving on if this doesn't become a perfect placement

If you would be interested in a role like this and qualify, please contact me immediately. I look forward to hearing from you.
