Children’s Support Worker – Part-Time
Location: Ribchester, Lancashire
Hours: Part-time – 20 hours per week (flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and late nights)
Pay: From £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Children’s Support Worker to join a specialist school setting in the Ribchester area.
About the Role
You will be working closely with children and young people with a range of complex needs, providing care, guidance, and emotional support to help them thrive in both their education and daily lives. This is a challenging but deeply rewarding role where your support can have a lasting impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils during school and residential hours.
- Promoting independence, personal development, and social skills.
- Assisting with daily routines, including personal care where required.
- Contributing to care plans and attending team meetings.
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have previous experience in support work (ideally with children or young people with additional needs).
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
- Be flexible and able to work varied shifts across the week.
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to starting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
