Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Preston based school who have an exciting, new, full time opportunity for the right candidate! 

The school is a smaller school, it's an alternative provision which caters specifically for KS2 - 4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours. The school are looking to appoint a hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and resilient candidate to work as an outreach worker for the pupils who struggle to attend! The role would be suited to a candidate who comes from an education background and has a passion for working with children who are disadvantaged or disengaged in education. Some of the pupils you will work with display challenging behaviours and therefore, candidates applying for this role must be confident in their behaviour management skills. 

The role is full time and candidates applying for this role should be a car driver as you will be expected to work off-site with pupils from time to time as well as in the classroom. 

Your role will be to act as a mentor for pupils who struggle to engage in the curriculum. You will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to attend school and assist in the management of their behaviours. 

Candidates applying for this role must have some experience working with children with additional needs!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
