Teaching Personnel work closely with a Blackburn, East Lancashire based School who are seeking an Outreach Worker to support pupils who struggle to engage in or attend education. The School are looking for a full time member of staff to work with pupils who can display challenging behaviours and are reluctant to attend school. The candidate must find innovative ways of engaging the pupil in education whilst working with them on a 1:1 basis.
The School specifically caters for KS3 / 4 pupils who have additional needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Learning Difficultes. The School is smaller than average and caters for pupils who are unable to attend mainstream schools for a range of reasons! The School is based on the outskirts of Blackburn and isn't particularly accessible via public transport, therefore, candidates will ideal drive.
The role will be full time, start September 2020 and school hours are 8.45am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday.
The role would suit a candidate with strong behaviour management skills whilst remaining empathetic towards the needs of the pupils.
The role will be long term, with the view to become permanent for the right member of staff!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
