Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – Full Time | September Start | South Brent

Location: South Brent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting in South Brent from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs through outdoor and practical learning experiences. If you enjoy being active, building positive relationships, and helping young people develop confidence and life skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in outdoor learning activities.
  • Encourage engagement through practical, hands-on learning both on and off-site.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs where required.
  • Work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, youth work or support setting.
  • A passion for outdoor learning and active education.
  • A calm, patient and positive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable due to the location.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
