Supply Teaching Assistant – Torbay
Flexible Work | Choose Your Own Days

We are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across primary, SEN, and secondary schools throughout Torbay.

This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work, allowing you to choose the days you work around your own diary.

Role Details:

  • Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

  • Location: Torbay and surrounding areas

  • Type: Day-to-day supply (including sickness cover)

Key Information:

  • You must be available to accept calls from 7:00am for same-day sickness cover

  • Work is available in local primary, SEN, and secondary schools

  • Roles may include classroom support, 1:1 support, or small-group interventions

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with learning activities and classroom routines

  • Working alongside teaching staff to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Supporting children with additional needs where required

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

  • Following safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (essential)

  • SEN experience desirable but not essential

  • Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach

  • Confident working in different school settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
