Supply Teaching Assistant – Plymouth
Flexible Work | Choose Your Own Days

We are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across primary, SEN, and secondary schools in Plymouth.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work, allowing you to choose the days you are available around your own diary.

Role Details:

  • Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

  • Location: Plymouth and surrounding areas

  • Type: Day-to-day supply (including sickness cover)

Key Information:

  • You must be available to accept calls from 7:00am for same-day sickness cover

  • Work is offered in local primary, SEN, and secondary schools

  • Assignments may include 1:1 support, classroom support, or small-group work

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with learning and classroom activities

  • Working alongside teachers to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Supporting children with additional needs where required

  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement

  • Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (essential)

  • SEN experience desirable but not required

  • Flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to different school settings

  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
