Out-reach Tutors - immediately required - Stockport

LEA's situated in Stockport are currently looking to appoint multiple Tutors who can work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEMH needs, pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour and those that have SEN needs. These roles are commencing immediately and there are both long term and short term assignments available. Referrals generally tend to be for 2 hours per day and will involve working 5 days per week and you can take on as many referrals as you wish.

Due to the nature of the needs of the vulnerable people you will need to have high levels of emotional and physical resilience. You will also need to be able to build strong working relationships with the young people and families that you work with. Referrals that come through tend to be for pupils who are in Secondary School, so it is crucial for Tutors to feel confident in delivering sessions up to GCSE Maths and English.

To be considered for these tutoring roles you should have:

- Qualified Teacher Status or a qualification similar

- Significant tutoring experience

- The ability to form close working relationships with students and their parents/ carers

- The ability to undertake baseline assessments and assess pupils progress on a weekly basis
