Online Tutors
Teaching Personnel are searching for a number of experienced tutors for secondary schools in the South Manchester area.
Due to recent school closures Teaching Personnel has been inundated with requests for online tutors to provide support to GCSE students. As an approved partner of the national tutoring programme, a government programme providing heavily subsidised tuition for disadvantaged students, we have a number of different online based tuition vacancies starting from 11th January.
You will be teaching alongside the standard national curriculum across a number of different subjects, primarily the three core subjects of English, Maths, Science (this can either include general science tuition or specific Biology, Physics or Chemistry specialisms).
Depending on the role and the school, the type of students you’re teaching may vary, some may be more academically challenged students who are falling behind, with a focus on closing the attainment gap, while other roles could be pushing pupils from a B to an A*.
Teaching Personnel will provide full support getting you NTP ready, including training courses on how to teach online and safeguarding. We support schools with other positions such as teachers, teaching assistants, SEN support and tutoring for additional opportunities coming out of lockdown.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a tutor or educator, preferably within stem fields, although any graduate with a strong degree and an interest in teaching should also apply. It’s essential to have good interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for the subject, a lot of the students you will be supporting will feel demotivated so it’s important to foster a passion for learning to help them achieve and exceed their target grades.
Depending on experience and the type of role you can expect to earn between GBP20-GBP25 per hour, paid weekly. Each position is different, some are multiple tuition sessions a day across the week, others are one-hour sessions one or two days a week providing excellent flexibility to work around other commitments.
Any successful applicant would be subject to DBS and Right to work UK checks so relevant documents will be requested.
If this role seems of interest and you have relevant experience/qualifications, please click the link below or send your CV to the relevant details.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
