Occupational Therapist – SEN School (Chorley) – Permanent Contract
A specialist SEN school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent contract, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT to support children and young people with autism and complex needs, helping them develop essential life skills in a highly supportive school environment.
The Role:

Assessing and implementing tailored therapy interventions to support students' sensory, motor, and functional needs

Working closely with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to promote students’ independence and engagement in learning

Providing 1:1 and group therapy sessions to help students develop their fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, and daily living abilities

Developing and delivering training for staff to integrate therapy strategies into the school environment
-
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCPs and multi-disciplinary planning
What We’re Looking For:

Degree in Occupational Therapy (HCPC registration required)
-
Experience working with children and young people with autism and additional needs (school-based experience preferred)
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff and families
-
A proactive, adaptable, and child-centred approach to therapy
