Nursery Teaching Assistant

Location: Speke (L24)

Start Date: November 2025

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience

Are you passionate about early years education and looking to make a real difference in a child’s development? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established and nurturing day nursery in Speke (L24), seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This nursery is known for its child-centred approach, offering a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. With a strong focus on early development, communication, and emotional wellbeing, the setting supports children from 6 months to 5 years old.

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children’s learning through play, structured activities, and routines
  • Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities across the EYFS framework
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, including for children with additional needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Work closely with nursery staff and parents to ensure each child’s needs are met
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working in a nursery or early years setting (school or private)
  • Be confident supporting children aged 0–5, including those with SEND
  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years – desirable)
  • Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood development
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
