Location: Woolton, L25

Start Date: November 2025

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Nursery Teaching Assistant to work in Woolton, Liverpool. Job Description

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the nursery teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care routines and promote independence.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with varying needs.
  • Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS framework guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Be warm, patient, and passionate about early childhood education.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
