Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client school in Middlesbrough for a KS3/KS4 Music teacher. The successful candidate will ideally have experience teaching both KS3/KS4 music curriculums as well as planning and delivering both practical and theory lessons to a range of low and high ability students. You will be dedicated and enthusiastic about your subject as well as passionate about bridging the gap between disadvantaged students and their peers. This highly successful music department has a proven track record of excellent results and wish to continue this for this academic year.

 

  • Full-time Music teacher required from May2024
  • ‘Good’ secondary academy in Middlesbrough
  • Paid to scale, in line with M1 to UPS3 depending on experience and qualification (£30,000 - £45,525)

Key responsibilities

 

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive music lessons to students.
  • Plan and prepare lesson materials, including curriculum, exercises, and assessments.
  • Instruct students on music theory, history, and various musical genres.
  • Teach students how to play various instruments and provide guidance on correct techniques.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

The Principal in this school is passionate about the Continued Professional Development (CPD) of all teachers, in particular those new to the profession (NQTs) and so would encourage them to apply. Weekly CPD sessions are carried out, with fantastic feedback being received consistently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
