Job description

Music Teacher - Merton

The PWR team are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in the borough of Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated musician and educator to inspire students in all aspects of music, from performance and composition to music technology and appreciation, within a supportive Performing Arts department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for experienced candidates. You will be expected to organise and lead extra-curricular musical activities, including choirs, bands, and instrumental ensembles, and support students in developing their musical talents. Proficiency in playing multiple instruments is a strong advantage.

We are looking for a teacher who can ignite a love of music in students of all abilities and encourage their participation in musical endeavours. Both NQTs and experienced Music teachers are encouraged to apply. This role is on the Outer London pay scale.
