Moving and Handling Trained – SEN Support Assistant (Huddersfield)

Location: Huddersfield
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with Moving and Handling training?
We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals to support students with physical and complex learning needs in specialist schools across Huddersfield.

The Role:

  • Provide hands-on classroom and personal care support for pupils with PMLD, physical disabilities, and medical needs.

  • Safely assist with manual handling, hoisting, and mobility equipment in line with training.

  • Support pupils’ learning, communication, and independence within structured routines.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, physiotherapists, and SEN staff to deliver high-quality care and education.

Requirements:

  • Moving & Handling training (essential).

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, PMLD, or complex medical needs.

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Team Teach or personal care experience advantageous.

  • Full-time availability and a proactive, caring nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
