SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire
Contract: Temporary (potential to become permanent)
Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
A mixed primary and secondary SEN school in Darwen is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This position is initially temporary through an agency, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
-
Promote positive learning behaviour and pupil independence
-
Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans
-
Work closely with the SENCO and wider school team to support pupil progress
Requirements:
-
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting)
-
Calm, patient, and proactive approach
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
