MFL Teacher - Rochdale

Are you looking for your next MFL teaching role? Do you want to share your love of French and Spanish with hard working students?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside our client school in Rochdale, who are seeking applications from experienced French and Spanish Teachers, as well as those who are new to profession. This exciting opportunity from September 2019 is initially on a temporary contracting for the duration of the 19/20 academic year, with a view of the successful candidate staying permanently thereafter.

  • Full time MFL Teacher post from September 2019
  • Role until at least the end of the academic year
  • Opportunity for permanent contract thereafter
  • Smaller than average 'Good' secondary school in Rochdale
  • Teaching French to KS4 and Spanish to KS3
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) encouraged to apply

Our client is a mixed secondary school based in the Heywood area of Rochdale, and is administered by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford and the Church of England Diocese of Manchester. It is located just a short drive from the M60 motorway, and has good public transport links. In their latest Ofsted inspection in 2017, it was graded 'Good' with the students' behaviour being identified as a particular strength.

"We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). Our Progress 8 score continues to improve and we are so proud of the achievements of our students. Our development priorities are always to continue to improve the quality of teaching through CPD, and improve outcomes for all students so that when they leave our school they have the skills to set them up for the future." Headteacher.

The MFL department are seeking to appoint a highly dedicated and motivated teacher of both French and Spanish, teaching both subjects to KS3 and French up to GCSE level. The ability to plan and deliver both engaging and inspiring lessons to a range of different students is highly essential. The role may involve teaching students that have complex SEN needs, so an experience in this background is also desirable. Potential applicants should hold QTS within the UK as well as relevant qualifications. NQTs are encouraged to apply for this role, with the school have an excellent provision in place for Newly Qualified Teachers with a proven track record.
