Maths Tutor

We're recruiting for Maths Tutors in the Basildon and South Essex area to support children who need extra tuition of Maths. This mainly includes 1:1 tuition but can also include small groups, in a number of environments including; school, home, or local library. within their home environment. 

Some of these students may have SEMH or SEN needs and require further opportunities for learning outside of school, in a quieter and more relaxed environment which suits them. Some of the children may display challenging behaviour or a lack of focus, so an engaging and enthusiastic approach to learning, as well as the patience to simplify and give thorough explanations of the work is essential to obtain progress and results.

Candidates should be confident in their Maths skills and must have some experience of tuition or teaching work, up to and including GCSE level across all exam boards.

Tuition usually covers 1-2 hours per (week) day depending on the needs of the family, and can be in the day or evening. If you are looking for flexible opportunities for a couple of hours work per day or something extra, tuition is the perfect opportunity.

A DBS on the update service for this role is essential and can be applied for through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
