Maths Tutor – Northumberland (NE24)

Help Students Build Confidence and Achieve Their Potential

Are you passionate about Maths and helping students succeed? TP Tutors is looking for an enthusiastic Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition in Northumberland (NE24). This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students outside the mainstream classroom, helping them gain confidence, strengthen their skills, and achieve their academic goals.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging and tailored 1:1 Maths sessions (KS3/KS4/GCSE)

  • Breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps

  • Supporting students with exam preparation and problem-solving skills

  • Adapting lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each student

  • Tracking progress and planning next steps to ensure continued growth


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths at secondary level

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum (GCSE or KS3)

  • Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)


What We Offer

Competitive hourly rates (£25–£30 per hour depending on experience)
Flexible working hours, Monday–Friday
Approximately 13 weeks off per year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
