Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional tutor in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for education to make a meaningful difference in students' academic journeys.

Location: Darlington, County Durham
Type: Flexible Hours 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored tutoring sessions in maths

  • Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement to create effective learning plans

  • Support students in building confidence and improving academic performance

  • Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of progress

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs

Requirements:

  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
