Are you a Mathematics graduate wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching? If so, please see the details of the Mathematics intervention teaching assistant position available at our partner Secondary school in North Manchester.

  • Full time and part time options available
  • Supporting students in the Maths department - Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four
  • Delivering intensive Mathematics intervention
  • Small group support - 4 to 5 pupils in each session
  • Working with the Mathematics department
  • Opportunity to become involved in planning and assessing
  • Earn up to £300 per week

"In order to ensure all pupils receive the optimum support within the Mathematics department, we wish to appoint a Mathematics graduate to facilitate learning in small groups outside of the classroom. The role of the Mathematics intervention teaching assistant will involve delivering mathematics based activities to small groups of students from Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four, recording progress and working collaboratively with the Head of Mathematics. This position is perfect for an aspiring teacher, and training opportunities will be provided." - Deputy Head Teacher

The large Roman Catholic Secondary school has over 1,300 pupils on roll with plans for future expansion in the coming years. There are a significant number of pupils at school who have Individual Learning Plans (ILP's) whereby intervention will be a vital aspect of their progression in school.

*It is essential that the successful Mathematics graduate has previous experience working with young people, delivering tuition or supporting learning.*

Located in the Moston region of North Manchester, our partner Secondary school can be accessed via the M60 motorway. Neighbouring areas Oldham, Rochdale and central Manchester provide a range of public transportation routes that lead directly to the school.
