Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Streatham (SEN Experience Preferred)
Location: Streatham, South London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Supportive and inclusive primary schools in Streatham are seeking dedicated full-time Teaching Assistants to join their team. Schools are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), though strong mainstream experience will also be considered.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence and thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role:
As a full-time TA, you will:
- Provide in-class support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Support pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs
- Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo
- Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
The role may involve supporting a specific pupil or working more broadly across the classroom, depending on the school’s needs.
