Cover Supervisors – Secondary Schools Across Liverpool

Location: Various Secondary Schools in Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable educator looking to support secondary schools across Liverpool? Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in classrooms covering Key Stages 3–4 (ages 11–16).

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in KS3–KS4.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Support students of mixed abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Adapt activities and guidance to suit different learning needs.
  • Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff across multiple settings.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in educational settings (e.g., teaching assistant, cover supervisor, tutor, youth work, coaching, etc.).
  • Confidence in delivering lessons to secondary school students aged 11–16.
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches for a variety of learning needs, including SEN.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude.
