Maths teacher required at a Bolton based secondary school to cover maternity leave (May 2018 - Earlier start available).

  • Full time Maths teacher - May 2018 start
  • Covering maternity leave and leading a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school located in central Bolton
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (ÂŁ22,917 - ÂŁ38,633)

With a member of the Maths department due to go on maternity leave ahead of May 2018 our client school located in Bolton wish to appoint a Maths teacher following the Easter break.

The incoming Maths teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities and lead a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes. The successful applicant will receive full support from an experienced head of Maths who encourages collaborative planning, team teaching and enquiry based learning. This Maths department has state of the art facilities and is located on a brand new site within the school. The head of Maths wishes to appoint a Maths teacher who can stretch the learning of all pupils no matter what their ability.

This large 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school has roughly 1100 pupils on roll and is oversubscribed due to ever increasing results. Located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre, it is a short drive from the M61 and has excellent public transport links, making the surrounding areas easily commutable; Wigan, Salford, Bury and Chorley. Within the schools most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded 'Good' across all criteria areas, with pupil behaviour and management and leadership highlighted as particular strengths.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
