Maths Teacher - Tameside

A secondary school in Tameside is seeking a Maths teacher for a maternity cover starting in November 2019 and running until the end of the academic year in July 2020. This role is open to both experienced teachers and NQTs.

This is a full time Maths role which will include the opportunity to truly develop the understanding of pupils by delivering the KS3/KS4 curriculum to pupils of all abilities. In KS3, you will focus on developing the full range of mathematical skills through delivery of a variety of topics including decimals, equations, factors and powers, graphs, probability and statistics. In Y9, pupils undertake a GCSE foundation year where they look at a more enhanced KS3 curriculum designed to prepare them for the transition to GCSE up until the Easter holidays, after which, they begin the first units of their GCSE curriculum. At KS4, pupils follow the Edexcel curriculum covering units such as algebra, ratio, geometry and number.

The school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is a highly successful co-educational establishment dedicated to helping children develop into active and responsible members of society.
