We are currently seeking Maths Teacher to work at one of our local school’s in North Dorset/Somerset. The school works with children with medical needs in Primary and Secondary education. The school has six different sites in and around the Yeovil area. Each site caters for a different need i.e. Secondary Medical and Mental health, KS4 behaviour, Middle school behaviour.
The successful candidate must:
- have QTS or a similar qualification
- have experience teaching Maths in a secondary school/SEN school
- be enthusiastic and positive
- be resilient
- be confident working with students with SEMH/challenging behaviour
To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:
- have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teacher in a special needs school
- Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
- Have experience working with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
