The UK's leading education agency, Teaching Personnel, are currently supporting a co-educational secondary school in Wigan as they wish to appoint a Maths teacher on a full time basis ASAP.

Due to an open vacancy in the Maths department, the secondary school located in Wigan are looking for a dedicated teacher of Maths to join the department as soon as possible. This will be a full time Maths teacher post until February initially, with a view of becoming permanent if the incoming Maths teacher is a good fit for the school.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £23,720 - £39,406
  • Teaching a full Maths timetable across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
  • Well structured and supportive secondary school in Wigan
  • Both Newly Qualified Maths teachers and those with experience are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants must hold QTS, specialising in secondary Maths

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full timetable in line with the current national curriculum (KS3 and KS4)
  • Confident delivering lessons to all pupil abilities and be flexible in your approach to teaching.
  • Take on full departmental responsibility: planning and marking, revision sessions, internal training and parent's evening when required.

You will join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Wigan, close to the area of Hindley and is easily accessible from areas of Bolton also. The school boats modern learning facilities and is looking for a Maths teacher to join their team who will deliver inspiring and engaging maths lessons to encourage pupil to reach their full potential in the subject.
