My client is a specialist secondary school for young people with SEMH difficulties in central Stockport and they are seeking to employ a fully qualified Maths teacher immediately. The school is an Ofsted ‘Good’ setting which caters for young people with severe social/emotional difficulties who have had difficulty accessing and the maintaining a stable education. The goal of the Maths teacher is to work on stimulating the interest of the young people in an effort to make academic progress where ever possible. They will also be required to relate Maths sessions to life skills to promote independence for when the students leave the school. The school is in the outskirts of central Stockport with good public transport links.

The ideal Teacher for this Manchester school will be a fully qualified Maths teacher who has a SEMH background or is looking for an opportunity to transition into a specialist school. Behaviour in the Stockport school can be challenging, so it is imperative the successful Maths teach has the ability to stimulate and motivate learners. Any relevant training such as Team-teach will enhance your application.

The pay for this role will be between £100 -£130 per day dependent upon experience.
