Maths Teacher (October start)

  • Wakefield Secondary School
  • Full time role with the opportunity to teach A Level
  • Daily pay rates of up to £187 (depending on experience)

A 'Good' Secondary School in the Wakefield are of West Yorkshire are looking to appoint an qualified teacher of Maths to start in October 2016. (Or as soon as possible)

The role will involve delivering Maths to KS3 and KS4 pupils, and there may be an opportunity to teach some A Level Maths as well so some experience of this is desirable but not essential.

The department is high-achieving and has an excellent portfolio of resources and lesson plans for you to use as you wish. You must be an excellent practitioner of Maths with a strong ambition to ensure pupil progress and the meeting of target grades.

As well as academic achievement, the school are keen to ensure the development of pupils through extra-curricular activities too and this means that an interest in getting involved with extra-curricular activities is very much encouraged. This does not need to be Maths related, if you have an interest in; sports clubs, creative pursuits, media based activities etc. then this will certainly strengthen your application.

The school are willing to consider newly-qualified or more experience fully qualified teacher and would be able to support a period of induction.

The school is based int he Wakefield are of Kirklees and therefore can be reached by both the M62 and M1, as well as having regular public transport links from across the region.
