Teacher of Maths

Full time temporary Maternity cover


Start: April 19th 2021 

The school has maintained its long standing reputation of a Good School is seeking to recruit a temporary Maths Teacher to join them at Easter. The school is a popular mixed secondary school that services the local rural community of students aged 11-16. The school has an excellent record of pastoral achievement where every child is known. With a large team of support staff on hand to aid pupils, the curriculum truly is accessible for all learners.

The school follow a prescriptive curriculum map throughout the academic year to ensure all areas of the subject are taught and then reviewed. Problem solving and fluency are first reviewed to allow pupils to demonstrate their capabilities before being taught to their bespoke level to ensure greater depth in high achieving pupils and rapid progress for those who have gaps in knowledge. GCSE examinations are taken in the last year of school to ensure all pupils have progressed and gained mastery within Mathematics.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
