MATHS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST REQUIRED IN PRESTON

  • Part-time
  • Long term position
  • Small groups and 1:1 Maths intervention

Are you a Maths graduate looking to secure a place on a PGCE and seeking further experience?

Are you a qualified Maths Teacher who is seeking a position outside of the full classroom teaching?

If so, a client secondary school who I work very closely with in Preston are seeking a Maths Intervention Tutor to support some of their targeted students to focus on raising attainment levels. The majority of the work is in KS3/4 however, the school has a sixth form attached and you may be asked to help support some of the AS students.

The role is part-time (hours TBC) with a view to commencing from 7th November after the October half term. It is a smaller than average secondary school with around 700 pupils on roll. The school is located on the outskirts of the city centre with onsite parking facilities and close by public transport links.

This role is perfect for a Maths graduate who is seeking further experience in education utilising their subject knowledge. It is also very much suited to experienced Maths Teachers who are looking for a position outside of the classroom.

As a Maths Tutor you will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of targeted students to improve their Mathematical skills. It will be your responsibility to track student progress alongside the class Teacher and assist in preparing activities for them.

The school are looking to interview candidates WB 10th October. If you are interested in this post, please contact Hayley ASAP on 01772 842155 or send an email to hayley.slater@teachingpersonnel.com
