Are you a qualified practitioner seeking a new position at Easter?
There is an upcoming post at one of our client secondary schools in Salford, who are looking to appoint someone to help with the delivery of Mathematics to their Key Stage 3 cohort.
The school are seeking a skilled Mathematician to deliver exciting, engaging lessons to their cohort for the remainder of this academic year with a view to the successful teacher then joining them on a permanent basis in September.
Highlights of Maths teacher post;
- Full class Maths teaching on a full time basis (Easter 2021 start)
- Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school – ‘Leadership and Management’ judged to be Good
- Excellent facilities in newly renovated Maths department
- Good accessibility from city centre via A580 and A6 - 5 minute walk from local train stop
- Students keen to learn and succeed in their studies
Situated in the heart of Salford, our client school serves a vibrant catchment area with a large majority of the 750 students on roll coming from areas such as Wardley, Moorside, Swinton and Clifton. The school recently underwent a large scale renovation to modernise facilities which has paid dividends in terms of student engagement and behaviour, with pupils keen to attend school and take advantage of the excellent facilities and provisions for learning at their disposal. Teaching and learning is at the forefront of the schools ethos and this can be seen in the training and development opportunities available to all staff, along with the levels in which pupils are making progress.
The incoming Maths teacher will be responsible for delivering Mathematics across 11-16 including taking on responsibility for GCSE groups, as well as supporting the schools intervention plans for the remainder of this academic year. The students at the school are well behaved and keen to learn, but the incoming Maths teacher will still need to be effective in classroom management and hold the ability to quickly build rapport with students. A relevant teaching based qualification in Mathematics is essential and those holding QTS/QTLS will be preferred.
