Open vacancy at this co-educational secondary school to teach within the Mathematics faculty.

The Deputy Headteacher at this mixed secondary school has advised that they are looking to recruit a Maths teacher to start with them following the Easter break. Starting on Monday 20th April, the successful Maths teacher is required to take up a temporary post for 1 term until the end of the academic year. As this is an open vacancy, the school are keen to take on a permanent member of the Maths faculty giving the appointed Maths teacher an opportunity to transition onto a school based contract after an introductory period. The school have been open in stating that following an initial introductory term on a supply basis, if the Maths teacher was the ideal appointment then a contract would be offered prior to the summer holiday.

This Maths teaching prospect is a full time teaching role where the successful Maths teacher is required to teach up to GCSE level following the Edexcel syllabus. Applications are being encouraged from teachers of all experience levels with no specific preference over a newly qualified teacher or one who has much more experience. Given the full time nature of the role and it being an open vacancy within the department, the school are ideally looking for a Maths teacher who is keen to secure a long term, full time teaching position.

This school is located in the central Manchester area close to Levenshulme, Longsight, Belle Vue and Ardwick making it very easy to travel to for any teachers able to get to these areas. Being situated on the south/east side of Manchester, the school is also accessible for those Maths teachers travelling from Stockport, Tameside or nearby areas.

This vacancy has come about as a result of the school growing and being more and more popular/over subscribed year on year. The school is well known in the local area and is particular passionate about maintaining expectations within the classroom. They are therefore looking for a Maths teacher who will uphold these high expectations and is able to command the classroom at all times.
