Maths Teacher

A school in Tameside is looking for a Maths Teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis.

The role will focus on the delivery of Maths across both KS3 and KS4.

This position will be on a cover basis, and will run until the end of the academic year.

It is essential that the required candidate:

• Holds  strong subject knowledge as well as being up to date with national curriculum.
• Can set engaging in class tasks as well as being able to help students individually when necessary.
• Working with students with SEN/EAL needs, and understanding that these students will often require further extended support.
• Being able to enforce school policy at all times, as well as managing behaviour of pupils.
• Can display an approachable and friendly manner at all times, whilst understanding the difficulties that students face when dealing with a subject that many find difficult.
• Implementing strategies that enable students to thrive within the subject, differentiating work set based on the individual.
• Can consistently motivate students to work to the best of their ability at all times.

The school is looking for a personable individual who is passionate about improving student attainment and development within Mathematics.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
