Our client secondary school is looking to recruit a Maths teacher to join them in February to cover a Maternity leave for the remainder of the year. This mixed comprehensive secondary school is located in the Welwyn Garden City area with the successful Mathematics teacher being required to teach KS3 and KS4 GCSE level Maths. The teacher of Mathematics will be expected to take on planning, marking and assessment as part of their responsibilities at school.
Key aspects of this teaching position:
Full time Maths teaching position: maternity cover starting February 2019
Teach students who are well behaved and engaged in their learning
Work alongside committed professionals who are noted for being happy at work
The school are looking for a strong classroom practitioner who can bring their own innovative spin to teaching the core subject of Mathematics. Students reciprocate well to different teaching styles with the school therefore requiring a Maths teacher who can alter their teaching dependent on ability and age aswell as utilising the resources available to them.
The school boasts excellent facilities with the Mathematics department being particularly resourceful and all facilities being at the disposal of the successful teacher.
- Work within a 'Good' secondary school
- Work within a supportive Maths department and under an experienced SLT
- Pay ranging between £120 - £160 depending on pay scale
CVs are welcome from Newly Qualified Teachers as well as teachers who are more experienced. If you are a NQT, there is the opportunity to secure a term/two towards your induction. This is a maternity cover but there is the possibility of the role going permanent due to the department potentially requiring a Maths teacher in September 2018.
