Maths Teacher – Bolton
Full-time Maths teacher required for a well respected ‘Good’ graded secondary school located in Leigh, Wigan.
- Maths teacher required on a full-time basis from January 2020.
- Must hold QTS specialising in Maths and have experience teaching at GCSE level.
- Pay in line with new MPS and UPS scale - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum.
- Covering a maternity gap for twelve months.
Our client Secondary school was graded ‘Good’ across the board on their latest Ofsted report and now wish to recruit a Maths teacher who is available cover a planned maternity gap. The school that wish to recruit for this role is well respected in the area and will provide continuous support throughout the placement.
The school will consider applications from teachers of all experience levels, Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) are encouraged to apply.
Teacher’s wishing to be considered for this teaching role will be enthusiastic in their teaching and be able to create interactive and engaging lessons for their pupils. The school have outlined that the incoming Maths teacher must be able to show that they are capable of using alternative teaching methods to cater for different students that they are responsible for.

- Is smaller than the average sized secondary with approximately 700 pupils on roll.
- The vast majority of pupils who attend are from a White British background.
- The numbers of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language is below the national average.
- Holds an excellent reputation within the local area with a strong sense of community felt throughout.
- Is located on the outskirts of Leigh town centre making it accessible for those on public transport also.
- Is is easily accessible from both the surrounding areas of Bolton and Wigan respectively via the A579.
