Maths Teacher - Tameside

  • Full time Maths position in a supportive school
  • Pay grades in line with your scale point MPS-UPS
  • Opportuntiy to make a significant impact on students taught

Large Academy School in Tameside require a Maths teacher to commence a post in September due to a recent vacancy within their department. With over 14000 students on roll this is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Mathematician coming to the end of a current post or someone looking for career development opportunities.

With a new senior leadership team in place this is an exciting time for a teacher of Maths who can make a significant impact on the Maths department and students taught. This is a full time Maths teaching position across KS3 and GCSE level so you will need to have previous experience of this. You will be working within a large Maths department consisting of nine full class teachers and an experienced Head of Maths.

The school has a large percentage of students eligible for free school meals at 45% due to its diverse catchment area. While we want to improve the qualifications students obtain, we also want to prepare our young people to be great citizens.

**Pay ranging from £95-£150 per day

**Supportive and vibrant Maths department

Situated in the OL6 post code of Tameside the school is located near public transport methods for those who don’t drive. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Maths teacher looking to make a significant impact on students who achieve just below national averages.

The school are looking to see candidates for interviews and trials during this half term so you will need to be available to attend these. Maths teachers interested in this full time Maths post will need to have suitable teaching references and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
