Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and support their learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

Experience:

Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using educational technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

The Maths Teacher role is based in a secondary school setting in Sale, Greater Manchester. The position involves working full-time hours on a contract basis, following the school term calendar. The teacher may be required to participate in extracurricular activities and attend staff meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
